It seems like you always have so many and limitless solutions… amazing!!
Thanks a lot!palmtreeParticipantYou are absolutely right! I had the same issue before and now I even recall that I had asked you the same question..
Just reset the permalinks (my case was selected “custom” so once make it “default” > save and then back to “custom” again) has solved this issue. Thanks for reminding me of this:)palmtreeParticipantAmazing Meteorite! Very impressive it worked like a magic:)))) Thank you so much!
palmtreeParticipantI want to do this by using child theme… It would be great if you could give me your wisdom…!!
May 9, 2017 at 8:12 am in reply to: Livemesh grid widget filter using specific category for query argument #26589palmtreeParticipantI see… Thanks for the explanation. It seems like it is lot more complicated than I thought… No problem I will create the loop without using those widget.
palmtreeParticipantThanks Mateorite,
I understand you are busy but thanks for your support and introducing me to the wordpress support site.
I have posted the same topic as I did on stackoverflow.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/output-latest-posts-from-each-child-categories-of-particular-parent-category/palmtreeParticipantI have posted this question to stackoverflow http://stackoverflow.com/questions/43611578/output-latest-posts-from-each-child-categories-of-particular-parent-category. So far no luck.
But you are more than welcome to give me some advise. If you could do, it would be awesome!palmtreeParticipantThanks Phoenix,
That was in appdev theme’s main.js around line 90 where about it says$('#primary-menu > ul > li.current-menu-item').first().addClass('active');
I have copied one of them and pasted then changed class name to “current-menu-parent”. This could do what I wanted to do.palmtreeParticipantThank you very much for the link. I have followed the explanation in those pages and created the code http://pasted.co/090113c2
But this code output only one post under the cat id=54.
There are multiple child categories under id=54. And what I want to do is to output one (latest) post from each category.For example, if there are 7 categories under the cat id=54, the number of output post should be 7. I hope you can get what I have been trying to do…
palmtreeParticipantThis is another useful plugin! Thank you for introducing it to me.
palmtreeParticipantSorry Meteorite,
I’ve completely forgot to reply to your message.
I modified the CSS and now all the boxes are centered. I’m happy about it:)
Thank you for your support!palmtreeParticipantThank you phoenix for your reply.
The first one worked but only printed first one word and followed by “…”.
So I have modified it to something like<?php echo mo_truncate_string(get_the_excerpt(), 200) . '..'; ?>
And it seems like working now… But I don’t get how this 200 really mean. Because by changing this value to 400 doesn’t make output text volume doubled. Also I had to put two dots (one less)'..'
to output three dots.Could I also ask about thumnail image?
<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { the_post_thumbnail(); } ?>
This one works but is that the same method as invent theme default snippet image output?I want the output method to be consistent to the default one..
Any of your advise is appreciated:D!
April 15, 2017 at 8:46 am in reply to: Change custom post type slug that reflect URL and permalink #26390palmtreeParticipantWow it solved the situation like a charm! Thank you phoenix!!
palmtreeParticipantLooks like there is hope… I will let you know how it goes. It would be great if I can implement something. Thank you for letting me know this plugin.
palmtreeParticipantThanks a lot! I could change text in desired language!
