Jeroen RottyParticipant
That’s what I’ve tried before, added that to the functions.php of the child theme and moved the languages folder, then it’s back to English…
Jeroen RottyParticipantHi Veena,
Sorry to be unclear. I tried saving them in the childtheme/languages folder and it did not work. (not even sure if that suppose to work?) – I placed them in the parent /languages folder and it did work.
Is the languages folder ever gonna be replaced if an update comes out, normally it does right? As WordPress removes the folder and replaces the new one when it’s installing an update …
Hope this is more clear.
Jeroen
Jeroen RottyParticipantThat is so strange then.
Stupid last question. As it didn’t work in the childtheme folder, will /languages ever be in the update and thus removing our files or not?
thx
JeroenJeroen RottyParticipantHi, just uploaded those to the childtheme/languages folder – didn’t work.
Added them to the parent theme/languages and it worked.
Can you elaborate what you did to the files?

Using a childtheme – tried in both parent and childtheme /languages folder as nl_NL.po and nl_NL.mo – did that work for you then? (with my files?)
Jeroen RottyParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.Jeroen RottyParticipantI saw something in your readme about /option-tree/languages/theme-mode/nl_NL.mo and .po but that doesn’t work as well…
Jeroen RottyParticipantHi,
I see it all in the en_US files, but when i open them in PoEdit and translate them, change the settings to nl_NL and then upload them in wp-content/languages/themes/fitpro-nl_NL.po and .mo they don’t work, which should.
Also tried in the childtheme folder/languages/nl_NL.po & .mo but they don’t pick up there as well.
Are you sure the theme is using it’s i18n functions right?
load_theme_textdomain in framework.php referes to a locale.php file. But shouldn’t that be a .mo file? Please check this, as I still can’t make it show up.
