Visual Composer loading really slow when editing

Once I click on edit, the column settings dialog box loads forever. My Internet connection seems fine and I can navigate wordpress and the rest of the theme options alright.

I noticed that when I uninstall the theme and try to edit a VC theme after (since the VC templates section is not removed from my wordpress installation when I delete the Agile theme), it loads just fine. I tried this twice and it was consistent. There must be something in the theme that is causing the slowness.
