Show Categorized Custom Post Type for News

Hi,

I’m using the custom post type short code to display news, but I want to know if I can only display news from a certain category and not all the news. I know this is achievable on the actual news page (through the filters) but I’d like to show only a certain category when using the short code.

This is the page: http://dev-lead-center.pantheon.berkeley.edu/about-student-orgs/

Under the “Student Orgs Updates” I’d like that section to only show news from a certain category, right now it’s showing news items from every category.

Is this possible?

You can try post snippets shortcode with taxonomy and terms specified. Pls go through the theme documentation- Post Snippets Shortcode.
