I just renewed support and found out there’s a theme update that can fix the visual composer issue. How do I update the theme?
March 12, 2016 at 9:42 am #19979VeenaModeratorUse the same procedure as when you installed the theme for the first time.
Everything you did on your Dashboard won’t get overwriten, the files you’ve modified, however, will be replaced with the new files. I recommend that you save them in separate folders so you’ll have them at hand to reapply the changes.I use this handy plugin for auto updates of all plugins and themes –
http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/It makes a backup of the existing plugin/theme as well in the media folder so you can always revert back or refer to the earlier version. If you made any changes to the source files (instead of child theme), you will need to redo them of course no matter what method you use for updating.
You can find latest version visual composer plugin in frameworks/plugins folder .

Destination folder already exists. /hermes/bosnaweb20a/b2994/ipg.escyourfatecom/wp-content/themes/extinct/
Theme install failed.

April 25, 2016 at 9:55 pm #20992JonyaMemberHi. I’m joining into this conversation. I’m having the same problem – and I’ve checked my word several times. The theme is not updating using this set of instructions.
One twist to my situation is that the theme was originally purchased by another developer. The client and I do not have the purchase code of the original purchase. I have purchased a new license so we can access support and upgrades.
April 26, 2016 at 5:51 am #21000VeenaModeratorHi Jonya,
Then pls try to update theme manually by deleting the older version first .
Open your WordPress dashboard and go to Appearance > Themes. You can’t remove an active theme, so first activate the default WordPress theme (Twenty Fourteen) to be able to delete a theme required. Click the deactivated theme to see it’s details and click Delete button in the right bottom corner of it. Use the same procedure as when you installed the theme for the first time. Everything you did on your Dashboard won’t get overwritten, the files you’ve modified, however, will be replaced with the new files. I recommend that you save them in separate folders so you’ll have them at hand to reapply the changes.
If you made any changes to the source files (instead of child theme), you will need to redo them of course no matter what method you use for updating. -
