Changing red transparency to another color

Hi,

How do I change the red transparency that pops up for portfolio description and blog to another color?

Also, I have 2 portfolio subcategories under WORK menu (jewelry & found art) that I created and I want to have only FOUND ART pics show up and not all of them and vice versa. Is there a way to have the PORTFOLIO FILTER just show the FOUND ART category images and not all of them? Right now when I click both menu subcategories, all the images show up. Hope this makes sense!

Please put the following code into custom css in the theme options panel and change the RGB value to your liking
