Andrew/Phoenix i still have same problem.

i created a new page based on news template and named it differently “novosti” (news in my language) , permaliink is domain.com/novosti

when i click on single news it shows domain.com/novosti/nameofthesinglenews

but when i remove “nameofthesinglenews” from the url and when i go to domain.com/novosti i still get default news page which has error on 2nd page.

What i’m doing wrong? : (

Hello Phoenix,
i’m building site locally first using wamp server, so it’s not online yet. But if you can provide any css testing it in your environment, header is default, i havent changed anything beside adding selector code. If it’s possible it could also be added to top navigation menu where the phone number and email are?

And as you can see in second screenshot, when i’m on the single news page everything is showing correctly, but on the root news, url is pointing good, but page is still default news.

1.I changed the news page in theme options to the custom one i made and i changed the slug in custom-post-types.php
Url is showing good, but the page is still the default news with “News” in Header as you can see in the screenshot and it’s still throwing error when i click on 2nd page. My custom page for news says “Novosti” in header and doesn’t throw error when clicked on page 2.

2.Regarding that error you said i should revisit permalinks? what type of permalinks should be set?

3. My po template found in languages folder doesnt have those 3 news strings you showed in attachment. Which po template were you looking at?

Actually changing news tagline in theme options does change header title but only when showing single news page for example domain.com/news/news1blablatest
But when i go to domain.com/news it still says news. That’s why i need to have root news page a custom, and that default one. Thank you in advance

Changing tagline for news/blog/events in theme options, doesn’t change the title of the default news page. When i go to domain.com/news it still says news.

instead of pointing to default theme news page which is broken on page 2nd (i gave you link to your demo as well), i would like to have a custom page i made as root page of news. Can you please help me achieve this?

Thank you Phoenix. That line worked, but not after closing div, but inside it, right next to to the woocommerce cart icon (line 91 i think), however it’s fixed on the far left. Is it possible to put on the right side, aligned to the menu ?

i figured out i can do that by using post snippets carousel on the default page template and i can pick which departments i want to display.

is it possible to have departments/courses in menu dropdown?

Ok i found solution myself. This widget does exactly what i want and it does great.

The only problem left is – is it possible to put this widget in the menu? It would mean a lot. Here is the screenshot.

One thing more to mention. Serbian latinic and lyrillic letters are basically not translations, it’s one language but with different letters, but in both types, each letter in one type (latinic) responds to another letter in the second type (cyrillic), so i need some mechanism which will just change the letters from one type to another.

for example :

serbian latinic – VODA
serbian cyrillic – ВОДА

any help is really appreciated how i could do this the easiest way . .

Hello Phoenix thank you very much for your support.
Changing the news slug in php file did actually change my url to look different but still it takes me to the default news page, and not to the one i made “novosti”. Now even when i type domain/novosti it takes me to the old default “news” page which has two problems for me :

1. Header is there and i don’t know how to remove it, because i don’t know where can i edit that default news page?
2. It has a bug when i click on 2nd page of the news it throws error 404. Same is on your demo site
https://www.livemeshthemes.com/invent/news/ – click on page 2 down there and you will see an error.

So if changing the slug only changes the url but doesn’t actually call the custom page i made with the same url, how can i solve that?

I changed the slug from news to novosti, so the url is now domain/novosti, but it still won’t take me to my page that i created under domain/novosti, it will take me to the default news page

And could you please elaborate your last sentence in the first reply
“For changing page title you need to modify the string News[post type general name]”
which exactly string should i modify in order to achieve what?

Same question goes for events.
Once i create an event, it’s permalink is automatically …/events/testevent and clicking on that event brings me to page events which i don’t have within pages. How can i edit those pages? Really looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance
