Website Loading Slowly

We recently launched our website, http://www.dpscareerconnect.org. However, I’m receiving feedback that the site — specifically the homepage — is loading slowly (~3 seconds). Any suggestions for how to speed things up? Another new website on our server (using a different template) is only taking ~1 second to load.

Site can get slowed down due to presence of unwanted plugins.
Pls try to disable smooth page load in themeoptions>General tab and see if that makes any change.
