Site too slow

Hi,

We are using Invent theme for the last 2.5 yrs and from the last few days the site is loading extremely slow. After checking with our hosting provider (siteground), we got the following reply:

It seems that the issue is not related to the plugin, but rather to the currently active theme. I’ve created a database backup and switched the theme to the default one – twnetyfifteen. As shown from the GTMetrix scan below, the website fully loads for 4.6s with the default theme.

The database backup – eduinfin_wp44-2018-04-11-a5276f6.sql is located in the home directory of the account where is no public access.

From what I can tell, the theme causes some of the plugin scripts to hang. I can suggest you to contact the theme vendor and ask them to investigate this abnormal behavior further.

I’ve reverted all changes once my testings were done.

The login does not work – invalid username.

For me the site loaded quickly without issues. The speed tests are indicating there is a waiting time for the server of about 3 sec roughly probably due to server throttling.

Have you enabled caching on this server? If not, pls do install WP Super Cache plugin and enable caching to see better results. I see no evidence of caching plugin being used on your server at present. Pls revert back once you have caching enabled. Thanks.

Hi Raghavendra,

I deleted the user after I solved the issue myself. I waited for 24 hrs to get a reply to this ticket. I had asked for an urgent support because my site had almost stopped loading. The issue was a gif file being called from http://portfoliothemes.org/ which did not exist atall (in
wp-content/themes/invent/custom/custom.css to be precise).

I bought this theme 2.5 yrs back and renewed the support only to get this issue resolved. Can you please issue a refund since I did not get to use it?
