    I created another page

    and had no issue with pagination.

    The problem is due to you using the permalink carreras which is reserved for course post type (you or some plugin that you are using has modified the course post type to use carreras as the archive page url since the default is courses). You cannot create a page with that url and expect things to work normally. Change the permalink for the page and the issue will be resolved. Hope this helps.
