Shortcodes not working with WordPress 3.9.3

We are having trouble with our site. It seems the shortcodes are not working properly.

Should we update to wordpress 4.0.1?

I am not sure what exactly you mean when you say “shortcodes not working”. Are you saying the shortcode builder is not working? I do not think WordPress version is the issue. Can you pls clarify the issue and share a temp login to your site as a private message here so that we can take a look?
