setting shortcode category_posts category_slugs

Hello

I used the shortcode [category_posts category_slugs = “argument-the-week”] on the homepage, but I wish they would have displayed only the last entry added to this category and not all of those published.
Could you explain how to set this up?

I guess you can use the post_count parameter for this(post_count=1 in your case since you need just the last entry). You can have a look at the example here –
