Permalinks & Logo

Hi there,

Every time I change my permalinks from the default, I get blocked out of my site. I’m developing offline at the moment using MAMP.

Also, my logo isn’t appearing in the header bar, it’s just showing as a missing image. I’ve tried using PNG and JPG formats – any ideas?

I usually do not bother setting up permalinks on my local environment (have had issues with it just like you have and I just left it as it is). But the below posts may help – pls try them out- hope they work. If they do not, pls let me know and I can try to resolve this for myself in my MAMP installation and will update you on the resolution.

Are you setting the logo through the options panel- the Site Logo tab? Have not had any issues with it so far in my themes and hence unless I see what’s really happening can’t suggest a solution. If you continue to face issues that need my attention, I would prefer you to setup something online and send me the URL for the same. Thanks

I’ve moved from MAMP to a live site, and both of these problems have gone away. The permalinks isn’t a big deal really, but there does seem to be an issue with the logo using this theme in offline development.

Good to hear this. My local installation on MAMP seems to be behaving fine so far as far as logo is concerned – no clue about the nature of issue you faced. In fact, in majority of cases I test on local installation before pushing it to the server.
