Need help customizing gallery

Hi I’m trying to create a gallery to showcase projects I’ve done in the past. A good example of what I’m trying to achieve is this site here.

Where you can hover over an image, have a description, expand the image with the description there. How can I achieve this sort of effect with your Austin Theme?
