How to get right menu to appear on main blog page

Hi there!

I’ve spent all day trying to find where I can set components (e.g., categories, tags, meta, etc.) to appear on the MAIN blog page. They appear perfectly on the blog POST pages, but not on the main blog page. So if someone goes to the blog page, there’s no way to navigate to other posts, categories, etc. Only the ones shown on the main page.

And I need the right side to look like it does on a post page: http://byday.com/planning-no-cook-and-eat-out-nights/

Changing the template used (from quick edit) doesn’t seem to make any difference at all.

Please advise.
