I saw in other support threads to turn the thumbnail generation to WordPress, which I’ve done, and that fixed the featured images for me every where, except single blog post pages.
Main blog page: https://www.mikerastiello.com/blog/
Single blog post: https://www.mikerastiello.com/dont-be-foolish-with-your-domain-name/(Also see attached screenshot)
Featured images show on the blog feed on the homepage and the testimonials on the about page, so it is working, but there is something strange going on the single blog post page.
Also, I can’t figure out why the main blog page isn’t full width. The single blog page displays full width correctly.

Not sure why this is happening – even though you are using HTTPS. Everything looks normal and even disabling all plugins has not helped. To actually see what’s happening on the PHP side I request you to provide FTP details or cpanel login so that I can debug the site. I am not comfortable debugging within WordPress since a single syntax error can bring down the site and I will not be able to undo the change.

For now, the image is being displayed in single blog but the image height is not being retained. Let me see how we can resolve this. May be we need to do an update for this to be resolved with image height being retained under HTTPS connections. Will get back to you in couple of days with more investigation.

April 6, 2015 at 6:38 am #13236babaLucasParticipantI also have the issue on a couple of sites. One of which being: calyxperformance.com
April 7, 2015 at 1:52 pm #13264RaghavendraModeratorbabaLucas – things look normal on your site. I see featured images in the single post entries. The problem I mention above occurs only on HTTPS connections.
April 8, 2015 at 10:09 pm #13299babaLucasParticipantRight; but here’s the scenario:
The site has https:// for the purposes of woocommerce transactions.
When my client logs in to edit his own site, he connects via https:// to edit.
His images dissappear and he asks me why.I also have 2 other sites where people buy virtual products (videos embedded in portfolio posts). I then use the portfolio along with woocommerce groups to dictate access and a member dashboard; all with secured https:// login. As a result, the images don’t show.
My point was to ‘bump’ this issue because it’s a detrimental UX problem using your theme that needs to be fixed. The fix seems minor.
April 9, 2015 at 1:08 pm #13314RaghavendraModeratorbabaLucas – will have a look and have a fix ready by this week. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
April 11, 2015 at 11:36 am #13355RaghavendraModeratorbabaLucas/mike – I have a patch ready for both Austin and Extinct (in fact for most of our themes) which fixes this issue. Do you think an theme update would do or would prefer to patch the installation instead? Do let me know. Thanks
April 13, 2015 at 3:07 pm #13397mikerastielloMemberI have patched my site with the updates above, so that works for me, but I’m using a child theme so if you pushed out a theme update that wouldn’t be a pain for me to update.
April 13, 2015 at 8:48 pm #13401babaLucasParticipantI would prefer to patch my installations.

I could post it as a private message here but it would not be visible to anyone other than the person who created this thread. Or you can create a separate thread of your own for this and I can attach the files into that thread as a private message. Thanks
