Failed to import Media

Hi,

Everytime I import the .gz file I get a “failed to import media … ” for each media item.

I have tried both selecting the “download and install all attached media” option.

When I leave it de-selected i get the “failed to import media … ” error for each media item, but all other posts etc install no problem.

When I select it I get the 404 page from the theme with this output
“The page you requested http://www.xxx.xx/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress&step=2, does not exist.”

(I have x’d out the URL for privacy reasons) thanks

If you are importing old sample data the import of images won’t work since the URLs of the images have changed.
Can you pls share a temporary login to your site as a private reply here?
