Hello — I purchased your Extinct theme and have been using it for a new site. But I have a problem — I have been searching, and searching and searching for how or where you allow an admin user to select and apply one of your pre-existing skin?
I can see references to it in your documentation…
I can see references to it in the theme’s back-end PHP…
but I cannot find a single place ANYWHERE in the Theme Options that lets me actually CHOOSE a skin.I have been given a site customization PSD from a graphic artist — that uses all light-blue & gray tones — rather than your theme’s default red tones. I can SEE that you’ve already created Cyan and Teal skins — but it seems as if you have gone to an almost EXTREME extent to hide the option to choose or apply those skins. Even worse — you refer to the option multiple times in your Documentation and the Theme Options, while at the same time making it perfectly impossible to actually use.
?? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT ??
So Please — help me with this as it’s terribly frustrating.
With my 20 years experience as a programmer, 5 years building WordPress sites, 2 hours scouring your documentation, and 2 hours running iterative searches through all of your theme’s PHP file-base —
I have YET TO FIND A SINGLE PLACE THAT ALLOWS ME TO ACTUALLY CHOOSE A SKIN!Thank You,

April 22, 2014 at 4:30 am #6134ErnestoMemberHi! You need to go to your Theme Options Panel to Colors Section to change fonts colors. Right below the Colors Section, you’ll find the Background Section.
To include the skin you downloaded you´ll need to copy it in the theme folder in the location:
extinct/css/skins
Let me know if that worked! If it doesn’t, could you send us a link to your webpage/tester user, so we can inspect the issue by ourselves?

Where do we go to download your extra skins?April 22, 2014 at 4:45 am #6137ErnestoMemberIf you saw them in the demo site of the web, they can be downloaded along with the sample data. In the theme folder in the file: “READ ME…” you can find links and instructions for downloading the sample version of the site.
April 22, 2014 at 5:17 am #6138XimbaloMemberI’m sorry but no — I just reviewed the entire downloadable ZIP file in detail, and I cannot see either the README file nor any of the skins. Attached are screen caps of what is available.
April 22, 2014 at 6:30 pm #6162ErnestoMemberHi, I see you have already downloaded the sample data of the site. If you did this, all the info and images of the demo site is available for you to import.
All of the skins created in the demo are accomplished changing the values and colors in the Theme Options Panel. If you want to, show a screen of the skin you want to replicate and we’ll work it out!April 23, 2014 at 1:15 am #6172XimbaloMemberNO — I’m sorry but that is exactly what I have been trying to say.
There ARE NO SKIN-related files included in your ZIP.
And the most frustrating thing is that I CAN SEE where they are supposed to be, and I SEE multiple references in you documentation and in your Theme Options to “Skins” but it turns out that there is actually nowhere to get them and no way to ever use them. The ARE NOT included in your Theme ZIP, and they ARE NOT actually included anywhere in your theme options — but you refer to them over and over…
Again — attached here are a screen-snap of the theme zip folders,
along with references to the “skins” in places that only leave you with more questions in the head, like “What in the heck are they referring to???”If you look closely at the 3 screen snaps I sent you — I am HOPING you will understand I feel like you’ve sent us all on a “Secret Mystery Skin Easter Egg Hunt” — repeatedly referred to, but nowhere to be found.
April 23, 2014 at 1:06 pm #6186RaghavendraModeratorSorry due to nature of the theme, we have not provided skin function for this theme. We are really sorry for the confusion caused by the documentation (looks like it was carried over from the earlier theme Appdev which had this function). Being a vintage theme, we found that it’s hard to make it just take some generic colour and make it look reasonable. The directories were left as placeholders from the generic framework we use to power our themes.
Here is some help to get started on this once you decide your desired colour.

If there are specific places where things do not change, pls let us know and we can certainly help. Thanks for your understanding.
