    Looking to customize the top and bottom padding on a section of my home page, but only want to apply this styling to that one particular section. Is this something I can type inside the [segment] brackets?

    Yes, you can use [segment] shortcode to get a default padding of about 60px on top and bottom and the shortcode also lets you center the content in a fluid width page template like the Single Page Site/AdvancedHome Page/Full Width.
