Child Theme ok with Squash?

I am finalizing a site with Squash on a dev site, and will soon move it to the live domain. I have customized the theme custom css style sheet extensively, and am planning to convert all the customizations to a child theme before I move it.
I read on the Envato site Squash comments several references to having to manually update the theme after updating it to keep all the customizations made. There is no reference to using a child theme with Squash.
Simple question is, is there any issue with Squash and child themes? I can’t imagine why there would be, but wanted to check before I make the effort.

No issues using child theme with squash. Few of our buyers have done that and so far haven’t had any issues. So, go ahead creating a child theme and let us know how it goes.
