Buttons on Sliders

Im trying to put buttons on the sliders but the shortcodes arent working with revolution slider. How can I get the button that is on the main slider on the demo theme?

Ok. So I went to udpate my slider because I realized it was out of date. I deleted the old version and uploaded the new version and it broke my website. Any page with a slider on it would not load while the plugin was active. So now I have two questions.

1. How can I update my rev slider version while keeping my slides?
2. How can I update the rev slider without breaking my website?

Here upgrading is as simple as selecting the zip file to upload, selecting “Yes” from a drop-down, and clicking “Install Now”. It makes a backup of the existing plugin/theme as well in the media folder so you can always revert back or refer to the earlier version.

But it is risk free if you backup the slides before any updation . You can do an export and you ll recieve a zip file with all the files inside ..
