Blog template layout editing

I am trying to get my Blog page (based on template-blog.php) to follow the same layout style as the rest of my site with a sidebar on the left. However the default layout of this template is with the sidebar on the right. I have tried to manually edit the php file to change this but can’t seem to make it happen. Is the position of the sidebar set somewhere else that I can find?

The sidebar position of the blog template as can be changed in the theme options ->Site Layout tab. No need to change the PHP file for moving the sidebar to the left.
