Can you send me a screenshot of what you want to accomplish? My guess is you want a single image to displayed in the work section but I am not sure about what information you wanted to capture here.
For a single image to be shown, you can just insert media from the default WP “Insert Media” button and you would not need a gallery plugin as such for it.
