I have noticed a small but annoying problem in the main menu. I couldn’t find a similar case in the forum, so here it is.
The website, which I am currently working on, is a semi One-pager that uses IDs and links with “#some-id” as href in the main menu to move about the content. It is mostly the same as the demo of the Agile theme.
Now, the problem is that the line (same as demo) under the hovered or focused section has problem synchronizing with first and last link of the menu. For the first link, it’s only true the anchor ID is near the absolute top of the page.
I’ve tried a couple of test which all resulted in failure:
– Adding new sections and testing with new id and link.
– Using different depth of id in content.
– Having only menu-item with id related href. (no external link)
– Creating a new last section to see if it was only a bug with the contact section ID.
Strange fact that probably has the key to it all:
1. When getting on the site with a fresh new session, the menu is able to synchronize the last section with the menu-item when scrolling.
2. If you refresh the page, the problem reappear.
Agile demo has the same problem sometimes. If you continue scrolling white refreshing the page, it does it most of the time.
